THE EVOLUTION OF PURE EVENT DJS
For owner DJ Chris V, DJing is fun and games, but it’s also a lifestyle he has lived and breathed almost his entire life. Chris first got the mixing bug at age 12, playing around on his cousins turntables, From there Chris took his vocal MC talents to teen clubs, and than moved his turntables to college parties at Grandview University, and than night clubs/bars all over Iowa. It wasn’t until he he finally did his friends wedding in 2008, he says, that he realized he could spin records full time. Today, Pure Event DJs includes very talented DJs who travel all over Iowa bringing the most energetic parties to weddings/events year round.

Chris was so helpful on our wedding day! He arrived with plenty of time to set up and start playing music before guests arrived and was so flexible when we had a difficult space to work because of our wedding being indoors and outdoors. He not only volunteered to record our ceremony, he helped transition the ceremony space into the dance floor and tried to fit our macrame wedding backdrop into the photo booth when I suggested it. The planning website was also such a bonus. Thanks again!

We had Chris as a DJ for our wedding. He was excellent to work with. As the bride, I particularly enjoyed the user-friendly site that he provided to collaborate. I could easily add any information or songs they would need with the click of a button. On top of that, Chris was incredible the day of our wedding. He made sure everything ran smoothly and on schedule. He played a great mix of songs and had people of all ages up on the dance floor. He also offers photo booth and monogram services - the photo booth was a BIG hit at our wedding! I cannot thank Chris enough for the big role he played in making our special day perfect!
